MP4 & h.264 video viewing

<< < (2/2)

SeaCastle:
I'm running a laptop using Vista (but a 2.87 GB RAM) but it is not compatible with it.

SirLamer:
I personally reccomend FFDShow Tryouts over the older FFDShow.  Tryouts is still kept up to date, it's much easier to install and it includes an important feature to prevent programs from using ffdshow for video rendering when they shouldn't be.

FFDshow won't open the .mp4 video containers, though, so WMP still can't play .mp4's even with FFDshow Tryouts instaled.  Haali media splitter with give your system .mp4 support.

I still really like VLC Media Player for viewing .mp4 and h.264 videos.  It works very well and very fast.

I don't think VLC is available for MAC's though.  (Please correct me if I'm wrong.)

TheWorm:
Oh you're very very very wrong :)
