encoding help

hi folks ..


for days I\'m trying to get a new video out but it just won\'t work

all attemps to render a single pass cbr/vbr or multipass(2,3,4) file(avi container) result in an extreme blocky and smearing image

I even tried it on several different systems (3 of my completly differen rendering machines as standalone) and different applications (megui,autogk,vdub,vdubmod) and different codecs (xvid latest build + divx 6.6) but the result is always the same ...

any ideas ?

mp4 + wmv + mov are working fine

I had that once too. It took me a while to find out that the encoder was upsizing the video. The source was 704x576 while the encoder encoded it to 720x576. It looked smeared and blocky as a result. Especially with movement.

Make sure this is not the case in your situation.
